TThe Millstaetter See is one of the most beautiful lakes in all Carinthia. Its clear and silky water invites adults and children alike to go swimming or boating. Water temperatures in summer are pleasant at around 20° C. Its southern shores, easily accessible from Rothenthurn, are unspoiled and allow for wonderful views of the lake and the mountains. For those who prefer the bicycle, a 33 km cycle path has recently been completed and challenges you to tour at your own pace around the entire lake.
